Manchester to John O’Groats: Summary of my LEJOG second half.
Friday – A day 0f contrasts, the softness of the sofa against the hardness of the road, the comfort of my bed v’s the ?. I had a touch of GPS failure which was probably more todo with my requirement that everything needed to happen immediately. Anyway the GPS decided to ‘do the right thing’ and I was comforted by all the numbers and times I could see on my screen. Going north through Manchester and out to Bury and up into the Yorkshire Dales was very interesting.

Ewok Village Vanished!?
On a recent mountain biking trip to Glentress we were a little gutted to find the north shore features within Ewok Village had been completely removed (- it was made a little more frustrating due to the lack of signs indicating the removal). Anyway as I had been psyching myself up I was able to ride the only remaining feature – the sea saw – for the first time so it wasn’t a completely wasted journey.
Since returning back home I’ve found out that the sorely missed Ewok Village had been removed due to rotting wood.
Celebrating NYE on the Isle of Skye
A great hiking, eating and relaxing trip with friends to the Isle of Skye over the NY holidays. We stayed in Fistavaig Bay, hiked on the edges of the Cullins and managed to squeeze in a whiskey tasting trip to the Talisker Distillery. Big thumbs up and already planning where we can go next year!

Sounds of Revolution
It’s a short film about the sounds of mountain biking. We made it in 2007 and it was shot and edited within 48 hours and screened at Kendal Mountain Film Festival.
