Team Pickle...making life taste good
Team Pickle are two creative people living in Manchester, looking for adventure and enjoying life.
A little about Hannah – Hannah can often be found outdoors filming stuff or more often than not riding (and falling off) her mountain bike. She works for an infrastructure organisation providing assistance to voluntary and community groups on the use of media and communication. Hannah says sometimes her job makes her feel warm inside.
A little aboutPatrick – Patrick is really very gnarly although he often denies it. Because he is so very gnarly he brakes his mountain bike quite a lot but on the positive side this means he is quite knowledgable when it comes to bodging bikes together on the trail and making them look all shiny and new in the garage at home. Patrick is the manager of outdoor store which doesn’t make him feel quite so warm inside although it does have it’s positive side because he gets to ogle lots of nice gear which makes him excited to get outdoors. If Patrick isn’t mountain biking or fixing broken bikes he can often be found clambering up big rocks.
What is Maia Media – In 2008 Hannah established Maia Media. She calls herself the head honcho becuase it sounds good. Maia Media is an indie production company that loves making films about outdoor adventures, travel, and socio-environmental issues. Producing original and inspiring creative video content for web videos, promotional DVD’s and documentaries.
Our next BIG plan -The production of an ‘uber’ mountain biking film shot over twelve months between July 2011 to Aug 2012. We will be posting regular updates onto the site.
Our longer term BIG plan -To cycle from the UK to Singapore in 2013. Hopefully we will meet some interesting people and see some awe inspiring sights along the way. We plan to make a film as we ride.
Previous BIG plans – In April 2010 Paddy successfully rode his epic Lands End to John O’Groats ride to raise money for Hannah so she could volunteer with youth development charity, Raleigh International. Over summer Hannah successfully made it out to India as an expedition videographer for 3 months.
