It has taken a while but here is our photo & video trip log from Algonquin Park Canada. The footage is a combination of photographs and video. All taken using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3. Music is Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim.

We set ourselves a new goal to build a smooth, lightweight cable cam that is small enough to fit in your day pack and able to accomodate a GoPro HERO or similar action camera. Here’s a little more how-to instruction if you’re interested in making your own – maiamedia.co.uk/2012/03/how-to-gopro-diy-cable-cam/ **GoPro made our video their video [...]

Love the video Hannah. Creative and entertaining to view. Looks like you both had a great time in Algonquin. My home away from home. You carried a lot of gear and supplies around the park. That had to be grueling. Cheers. Richie
Richie,
Thanks for the comment, really glad you liked the film. You’re more than lucky to live near the park it is an incredible place. We really had our work cut out for us but we had lots of rest days and after an initial period of rubbish weather we got lucky with 14 days of sun which made it really special. I hope your next visit to the park is a good one.
Hannah
Congratulations, I think you have hit the nail on the head when it comes to tripping through Algonquin. Even with the rain, the bugs, unknown eyes in the dark, none of these things dampen the spirit. I have tripped through Algonquin many times and I think your film captures just what it is like. Well done.
Loved you videos. That was definitely a long trip. I tend to keep my canoe trips into Algonquin to 8 days or less.
Very nice. Great photos. It makes me happy to know how internationally appreciated our park is, and great to see it from a visitors perspective. Come back when you can, we have several nice spots over here.
Great video. Very creative and fun to watch. Looks like you had a great time. 17 days is a long trip, the longest I have done is 7 days and even then I had a mutiny from my fellow paddlers who said it was too long. Again…great job
