17 days in the Canadian backcountry within Algonquin Park. It was our first ever canoe trip but we’ve already started discussing the possibility of buying our own canoe…but surely then we would also need a van to help us transport it and us around. We better get saving. Here are a selection of our photos illustrating the ups and the downs. A fantastic trip!
Good day Hannah and Patrick.
Glad to see you made it to our spectacular Algonquin Park, in Ontario Canada. Hope you enjoyed the rental equipment from Algonquin Outfitters, I see you went for one of our light weight Kevlar Swift Canoes, they sure are nice.
Looks like you had a fun exploring Algonquin Park, some good times, good food and great wildlife to view. Hope you return soon.
Randy,
Thanks for your comments, as you can imagine we had an amazing time and the canoe was, almost, a pleasure to carry!
Cheers
Patrick
Team Pickle,
Greetings and congratulations from Cleveland, OH, USA! I was browsing the Algonquin Outfitters’ sites and saw Gord Baker’s post about your trip.
Out rag tag group of (by now) old men has been visiting Algonquin Provincial Park sinc ethe mid 1980s we can testify to the ability of its beauty to draw visitors not only for the first time but for repeat visits.
Your images are a great addition to the wealth of online resources available for others who might be interested in planning and carrying out their own trip.
(Please slow down a bit when driving through Ripon when my grandfather grew up.)
